The preparation is very simple. It doesn’t take much time to make, either. Without any further delay, here are the ingredients and the recipe.

The ingredients to prepare the revani cake and the syrup

The cake:

3 eggs

100 grams of flour for cakes

One packet of yeast

Lemon peel

150 grams of sugar

125 ml sunflower oil

125 grams of yogurt

130 gr of semolina

For the syrup:

1/2 lemon

400 grams of sugar

250 ml of water

One packet of vanilla

How to prepare the Revani cake

Let’s start with the syrup. In a saucepan, mix the water and sugar and bring to a boil. Add the vanilla and lemon juice, and let it boil a few more minutes.

As for the dough, let’s start mixing the sugar and eggs. Add the yogurt and oil and continue to mix the wet mixture very well. Add the semolina, flour, lemon zest and finally the yeast. We mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The last step is to pour into a buttered pan.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. The cake must be cooked on the inside and golden on the outside.

As soon as the cake is golden brown, take it out of the oven and cut it int squares in the pan itself. Pour the warmed syrup over the hot cake, which will absorb the warm syrup well.

Cover with a large plate and let it rest. When serving, you can sprinkle it with coconut or pistachio powder.
